Arsenal in 2010

Meskipun gagal meraih sebarang piala berprestij sepanjang tahun nih, Arsenal tetap boleh berbangga kerana berjaya memenangi piala Emirates di tempat sendiri =) Prestasi Nasri dan Wilshere semakin menyerlah tatkala kelibat Fabregas yang kerap hilang akibat kecederaan; x sabar menanti kemunculan Ramsey pada bulan nih setelah menghilang selama 9 bulan~ Harap2 x cedera semula -_-" Kehadiran Chamakh menambah seri di bahagian serangan meskipun masih belum nampak keserasian yg menyerlah bersama pasukan.. Vermaelan lama giler injured!! Peluang tipis ntk menang piala Champions League kerana bakal berjumpa Barcelona pada bulan depan; namun dunia bola sepak x boleh di ramal keputusannya.. Piala EPL ngan FA pon masih blom nampak kelab mane yg bakal menang.. Harap2 Carling Cup leh makan sebab cuma Arsenal jer kelab besar yg tinggal~ Walau ape yg berlaku, Arsenal tetap akan ak sokong sampai bebila !!

09/10 Arsenal 4-2 Bolton - Vermaelen

JANUARY

Arsenal started the year with a late comeback to beat West Ham in the FA Cup but they fluffed their lines against Everton, needing a last-gasp Rosicky strike to draw 2-2 in the snow at Emirates Stadium. All was forgiven when back-to-back wins over Bolton in the space of three days - including a stunning fightback on home soil - propelled Arsenal to the top of the table. But January didn't end so well: a weakened side lost at Stoke in the Cup and one point from two games against Aston Villa and Manchester United dented their title challenge.
Aaron Ramsey

FEBRUARY

Drogba continued to be the scourge of Arsenal with a match-winning brace at Stamford Bridge but Diaby's fine header saw off Liverpool at Emirates to keep Wenger's side in the title race. Fabianski had a night to forget as Porto edged the first leg of the Champions League last-16 tie and Ramsey was stretchered off at Stoke but his team-mates dug deep to secure a courageous win thanks to late strikes from Fabregas and Vermaelen.
09/10 FC Barcelona 4-1 Arsenal - Nicklas Bendtner

MARCH

Brimming with confidence after that gutsy win at Stoke, Arsenal rattled off four straight victories. Walcott produced the decisive strike against Burnley and Nasri scored the goal of the season in a 5-0 thrashing of Porto, weaving past three defenders before firing in from a narrow angle. Bendtner kept the momentum going with a stoppage-time winner at Hull and West Ham were beaten at Emirates despite Vermaelen's early red card. A freakish late equaliser at Birmingham ended the winning run and March ended with an altogether more fortunate draw after Barcelona threatened to run riot in north London.
09/10 Arsenal 1-0 Wolverhampton Wanderers - Nicklas Bendtner

APRIL

Bendtner was the hero as Arsenal kept their title hopes alive with a last-gasp winner against Wolves but hopes of silverware were dashed by the end of the month. Bendtner actually fired Arsenal ahead in the Nou Camp but Messi's awesome foursome saw Barcelona through in the Champions League. Domestic defeats at Spurs and Wigan ended the Gunners' title challenge but they did arrest their slump with a goalless draw against Manchester City.
09/10 Arsenal 4-0 Fulham - Carlos Vela

MAY

Blackburn inflicted another defeat on Arsenal - their fourth in five games - but the season ended on a high note with a thumping 4-0 win at home to Fulham. Arshavin and Van Persie made the game safe before Vela applied the coup de grace with a delicious finish six minutes from time. May ended with the signing of Chamakh as Wenger wasted no time getting some transfer business done.

JULY

The World Cup took centre stage in June but the focus switched back to Arsenal in July. The month started with the signing of Laurent Koscielny and continued with three friendly victories. Barnet were beaten in the traditional pre-season curtain-raiser and Wenger's side limbered up with two more wins during their Austria training camp. Arsenal returned to London for the Emirates Cup at the end of the month and kicked off with a 1-1 draw against AC Milan.
Wallcott 2nd goal

AUGUST

Arsenal lifted the Emirates Cup after beating Celtic and edged an 11-goal thriller in their final pre-season game at Legia Warsaw. Things were rather tighter at Liverpool on the opening weekend of the season and Arsenal nicked a point thanks to a late Pepe Reina own goal. Theo Walcott made a flying start to the campaign with a hat-trick in a 6-0 thrashing of Blackpool and the England man was at it again with a venomous finish to help beat Blackburn.
10/11 Tottenham Hotspur 1-4 Arsenal - Henri Lansbury

SEPTEMBER

The goals flew in at the start of September. Bolton shipped four at the Emirates and Braga were hit for six as Arsenal's European campaign began with a bang. A late equaliser frustrated Wenger's side at Sunderland after a freakish goal from Fabregas but that disappointment soon faded with a memorable Carling Cup win at Spurs, sealed with two Nasri spot-kicks. Arsenal crashed back down to earth when West Brom won in North London but the month ended well with a victory at Partizan Belgrade - where Fabianski made a penalty save.
10/11 Manchester City 0-3 Arsenal - Alex Song

OCTOBER

Arsenal left Stamford Bridge with nothing at the start of the month but then rattled off five straight wins. Birmingham were seen off by Chamakh's clever finish and a highly-rated Shakhtar team were thrashed in the Champions League. Nasri inspired a significant win at Manchester City and Newcastle were brushed aside in the Carling Cup before a late Song diving header ended West Ham's resistance at the Emirates.
10/11: Everton 1-2 Arsenal - Bacary Sagna

NOVEMBER

Wenger's side were rocked at home and in Europe as Newcastle and Shakhtar earned narrow victories at the start of November. Fine goalkeeping from Fabianski helped the Gunners to back-to-back away wins at Wolves and Everton but their home form showed no sign of improving as Tottenham turned a two-goal deficit into a 3-2 victory at the Emirates. A lacklustre defeat at Braga compounded those woes but Arsenal steadied the ship with welcome wins over Aston Villa in the Premier League and Wigan in the Carling Cup.
10/11: Arsenal 3-1 Chelsea - Theo Walcott

DECEMBER

Nasri's fine form continued into December with two wonderful individual strikes against Fulham. Another hard-fought home win followed against Partizan Belgrade to book Arsenal's place in the Champions League knockout stages - and set up a tie with Barcelona. A defeat at Manchester United dented the Gunners' title hopes but their championship credentials were underlined by a fine win over Chelsea. Two points were dropped at Wigan two days later but Wenger's side ended 2010 in contention for four trophies.
